Working to develop Brain Gain - helping our youth prepare for careers in the Far North
We partner with local schools, businesses, and organizations to provide career exploration, hands-on experience, and pathways to meaningful work.
Whether you're planning your next step or building a workforce, we're here to help you move forward—right here in Siskiyou County.
Why it matters
In rural communities, opportunities can feel limited. But we believe every person has talents worth developing and a future worth building. SiskiyouWorks exists to make those connections possible—between people and careers, students and mentors, classrooms and industries.
By opening doors to internships, certifications, and real-world learning, we’re not just preparing people for jobs. We’re strengthening the local workforce, our economy, and the sense of possibility in Siskiyou County.

Our Team
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Regina Hanna is an experienced administrator, program manager, and counselor with a commitment to career and technical education (CTE) and workforce development in rural communities. As the leader of SiskiyouWorks, she oversees grant-funded programs that connect rural students to high-demand career pathways in the North State. Her work focuses on creating work-based learning opportunities, developing apprenticeship models, and building strong partnerships with industry, school districts, community organizations, and North State partners to ensure equitable access to workforce training and education.
GRANTS MANAGER
Marie Caldwell is a lifelong Siskiyou County resident and dedicated educator whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to her community. With over 30 years of experience in education and community building, Marie has served in a variety of roles across Siskiyou County — as a teacher, principal at Yreka High School, superintendent of the Scott Valley Unified School District, and now as Superintendent of the Siskiyou Union High School District. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to bridge education and workforce development, securing more than $8 million in grant funding to advance Career Technical Education programs across the county. Marie is a founding member and former Director of SiskiyouWorks and continues to so that students are prepared for careers and lifelong learning close to home.
FINANCE DIRECTOR
Emma Rodriguez found her love for numbers at fifteen when she got her first job making copies for a CPA. Since then, she has enjoyed expanding her knowledge in accounting working for both nonprofits and for-profit businesses. The only thing she enjoys more than a good spreadsheet is spending time outside with her husband and kids.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Deborah Wagner enjoys all things admin and she spent many years working in fundraising and operations for several awesome non-profits. When she is not dividing her time between work and mom life, she loves watching movies with her family or binge-watching almost anything on HGTV.
